Again I spotlight the amazing Karly Cowsert in her Blurred Vision series.
By Karly Cowsert
Five more years have passed, and it seems that life has changed for the better. Jason was taken down and put behind bars so, you would think it was over. After being at the park with her daughter, Holly, and meeting an old friend, Ce-Ce- (CJ) Johnson, Stacy get's a call that ends all reality. Jason is out of jail, and he's back for revenge now, more than ever.
Once Stacy realizes that the "game" is not yet over, she asks CJ if she can help with the situation at hand. CJ, being with the LAPD, agrees to help. Michael, another old friend from the past, contacts Derrick Marks, NYPD, to also help them. Thanks to Jason though, Michael doesn't stick around long.
At first, Stephanie, Stacy's sister, is on Jason's side. At least, that's what everyone thinks. Eventually, she grows tired of his games and with her daughter, Hayley, joins her sister and friends in the fight to get back to reality. Far from that, everyone is surprised to get the news that someone else will return. Someone, that you wouldn't even believe...
Stacy and Stephanie, along with their friends are left to deal with Jason, and to protect the daughters of the sisters who are only five years old. Everyone soon learns that this life is nothing but tricks and lies after Jordan, Stacy's boyfriend and father of Holly, turns his back on them.
Looking for new hope and a new life, CJ buys her parent's old house in Los-Angeles. She invites everyone to join her, hoping the "game" would come to an end if they could get away. Unfortunately, it only continues there. The only thing Stacy wants, is for everyone to be able to live life again, especially her daughter and niece. That will not happen unless they can take Jason down once more. Their vision is still blurred with the lies and tricks of the past. Will they be able to make it clear again, and begin life a new?

The Interview:
When did you first want to write for a living?
That actually happened when I was in 6th grade. My friend and I came up with the idea for "Blurred Vision," and we swore that we wouldn't give up until we were able to see our idea in print somewhere. I began writing the first book, and just fell in love with it! I don't plan on stopping any time soon!
What made you decide on horror/Sci-Fi/thriller?
I didn't really decide, it's just what kind of book it is! Plus, I like fictional stories. I believe that a
story without twists and turns is a little boring, but that's my opinion. I wanted to write something that would grab, and keep a hold of the reader. This idea, which is a thriller, just seemed like the way to go!
How long have you been writing?
Longer than I can remember. "Blurred Vision" was my first idea, and that came around in 6th grade, when I was about 12. Now, I'm going to be 21. Since the idea came around, I can't think of a day that I wasn't writing, even if it was just a little bit. So, I've been writing for about eight years, and just got my idea out there in 2010.
What kinds of inspirations do you have?
My biggest inspiration would have to be my mother. She did some writing when I was younger, only her writing was poems. When I started talking about how I was going to write a book and try my hardest to get it turned into a movie, (which I still am working on) she always told me, don't give it up. She always said that I can do anything I set my mind to, no matter how big it was, or how impossible it seemed. I see today that she couldn't have been more right.
Favorite authors/or books?
I'm not really all that much of a reader. Stephen King books are probably my favorite, next to The Twilight Saga. When I was younger I got into the Goosebumps books also. Nowadays though, I'll pick up a book if I'm just that bored.
Can we expect to see more from you in the future?
Much more! After The Blurred Vision Series is done, I plan to write my autobiography. After that, I have at least five new ideas that I'm going to put together. Also, I hope to one day see The Blurred Vision Series on the big screen. You guys may also see me in Spring of 2012. I would like to plan an author walk for myself and all of my author friends to go out and promote our work more. We will see how it goes! I hope you all enjoy "Blurred Vision: A New Beginning." Watch for "Blurred Vision: The Final Illusion," coming in 2012. Happy reading!
Wonderful interview -- very inspiring! Can't wait to read Ms. Cowsert's work! Well done, Dale.
